Siena
Siena is an age-restricted, guard-gated community in the southern part of Summerlin. Built by the Sunrise Colony Corporation (which also built the Red Rock Country Club), Siena's just a short drive from the Strip and the airport, but you'll probably find there's little reason to leave this 665-acre paradise. The community center is a paradise for those who appreciate the aesthetics and dynamics of luxury community living. Relax in the pool or exercise facilities, or vie for the neighborhood title in the tennis courts. Either way, you'll find that living in a Siena home offers the best in Las Vegas age-restricted planned communities.
Siena is often compared to its contemporary, the Sun City community at Anthem. Siena's prices tend to be relatively higher, but it's also a lot smaller, with its 1800 homes dwarfed by the 7,000 at Sun City.
As of May 2006, Siena home sales range from $310,000 to $1,125,000 (lower prices are from villas), with a median of $490,000. Don't expect too many views, except from homes along the golf course.
